Borisocleonus gen.n. - a new genus of weevils from the tribus of Cleonini (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Lixinae)

At processing extensive materials of collection ZIN RAS (St.-Petersburg) on weevils genus Coniocleonus (sensu Ter-Minasian, 1988) it is established, that for C. mesopotamicus (Ol., 1807) and C. vittiger (Fahr., 1842) independent genus Borisocleonus gen.n., to which description present article is devoted should be established. The new genus differs from Coniocleonus where this species earlier entered, lengthened pronotum, oval, not expanded to top elytra, a structure ovipositor and speculum ventrale, and also large internal sac not having baso-dorsal a ledge.
