Czech entomologists have paid very little attention to the Czech-Moravian Highlands (the Czech Republic, southern Moravia) so far. In this paper, interesting faunistic records and bionomical data of beetles from this area are presented. Each species is discussed from the nature conservation point of view (category of threat, see Farkae et al. 2005), and comments to known species distribution within the Czech Republic are given. The following 26 species are commented on the paper (in alphabetial order within the family): Carabidae: Amara lucida, Carabus problematicus, Drypta dentata, Massoreus wetterhalli, Syntomus obscuroguttatus; Hydrophilidae: Crenitis punctatostriata; Buprestidae: Aphanisticus pusilus, Trachys troglodytes, Trachys scrobiculata, Trachys fragariae, Coraebus elatus; Meloidae: Meloe scabriusculus; Cerambycidae: Gramoptera abdominalis; Chrysomelidae: Chrysolina limbata limbata; Nemonychidae: Cimberis attelaboides; Anthribidae: Anthribus fasciatus; Apionidae: Rhopalapion longirostre; Curculionidae: Cionus olens, Graptus weberi, Hypera arator, Lepyrus armatus, Lixus punctiventris, Neophytobius quadrinodosus, Notaris maerkeli, Otiorhynchus pinastri and Sitona gressorius.
